Merchantville Fishing Club
2010 Junior Tournament Schedule:
1) When: 4/17/10
Where: Palmyra Cove, Delaware River
Time: 9:00 am – Noon
Notes: A fresh water fishing license is required for those over the age of 16. No license required for those 16 and under. Likely target species are striped bass, perch, and possibly catfish. Preferable baits would be bloodworms. As done is years past the club is going to try and secure a flat of bloodworms for the tournament. Please call Greg O’Connell (609-204-0220) a few days prior for confirmation or feel free to BYO. A pizza & juice/soda lunch will be provided upon completion of fishing.

2) When: 8/7/10
Where: Sunshine Park, Harvey Cedars, Long Beach Island
Time: 8:00 am - 2:00 pm
Notes: No beach tags are required during the tournament. The MFC kids tournament will run concurrently with the 10th Annual ASAC Youth kids surf fishing tournament. Registration begins at 800 am. From 800 – 900 am there will be several booths for kids to visit and learn about various fishing items/strategies. Fishing times are 900-1100 am with a hot dog lunch to be provided upon completion. Prizes to be awarded following lunch and expect a good show for the kids (last year the Coast Guard landed a helicopter 100 yards from the awards location).
